Coming from the smallest producer in Montalcino, L'Aietta is fermented in stainless tank and aged in Slavonian oak for one year, allowing fresh tart raspberry and cranberry to shine along with playful acidity.
On the nose this is warm and a little earthy - ripe cherry and an undertone of mushrooms. The palate is slightly alcoholic, but lean and acidic. Flavors are sour cherry, fennel, and mineral.
Serve this wine with a chill! Bursting with fresh cherry through the mouth. A friendly carbonic upfront zip followed by a touch of tart berry eschewing in a dusting of zippy tannin.
