This wine is a throwback to the earliest Cabernet Sauvignon made in California. It is taught, vibrant, and boasts refined tannins. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon using the Rixford clone planted in the 1920s at 1312 to 1660 ft. elevation in schists and quartz soils. The grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed. Aged for 30 months in 70% new French oak. Unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur.
