From 60 year-old, ungrafted vines from Ulli Stein's prime vineyard holdings in the village of Sankt-Aldegund. The vines are grown on steep slopes of blue slate (Blauschiefer). The wine resembles these soils in flavor, with razor sharp, flinty acidity and is totally dry. Pair with honey-glazed, grilled pork chops or fresh apples and gorgonzola, topped with a dusting of honey, or served alongside your favorite jam and crackers.
